Nimkee was a short, well-dressed man, who used to cut pulp poplar. He owned several very small camps between the Cunningham's Bay and Shigniconing. In order to travel between these camps, Nimkee cut several walking trails throughout Sheshegwaning.
Nimkee often traveled to the village of Sheshegwaning to do his laundry and grocery shopping and to visit and socialize. If it was late in the evening when he returned to his camps, he usually took a lantern so he could see his way through the trails he made.
As time went by Nimkee's stopped coming to the village. Nobody knows
why he stopped visiting or where he went.
